Travel update: 🇮🇳 India

India’s borders remain closed for tourists.

Due to concerns over the third wave of Covid driven by the Delta variant, the Indian Medical Association has asked the government not to reopen the country to tourism in the coming months. Most countries advise their citizens against all but essential travel to India, and most airlines have reduced/suspended their flights.

India is expected to reopen its borders for international tourism not earlier than at the turn of 2021 and 2022.
